I know what you're thinking, everyone knows how to replace a lightbulb. You've got to have a couple of screws loose in the head, if you don't know how simple it is to replace a light bulb. However, this isn't about replacing a lightbulb, it's about replacing a light bulb properly.
First I would like to talk about safety. Make sure that there isn't any electricity on, especially in the area where you're going to be replacing your damaged light bulb. If you're replacing a light bulb, in a lamp or any other lighting device that requires light bulbs, make sure that they are unplugged.

If you're going to replace a lightbulb inside of a light fixture that is attached directly to your home, make sure that the light switch is off, before you start to unscrew the old lightbulb and replace it with a new one.
