Extremely lightweight and compact, the Coleman Exponent F1 Lite Lantern is a great choice for backpackers, kayakers, motorcyclists and anyone who wants a reliable light that won't take up much space or add much weight to a pack. The F1 weighs just 3.1 ounces without fuel canister and handle, and measures a little over 2" wide by 4" tall. But despite its tiny size, the F1 Lite puts out a generous amount of light, equivalent to 24 candlepower or a 38-watt light bulb. The F1 Lite is made to be tough and trail-ready. The globe, made of fine stainless-steel mesh, is stronger and lighter-weight than a standard glass globe. The lantern is lit by inserting a match in a small hole in the globe. The globe is easily removable for no-hassle mantle changing. The Coleman model #51 mantle that comes with the lantern is installed by simply slipping it over the burner, which has notches indicating how the mantle should be positioned. The F1 Lite Lantern has a large, easy-to-manipulate control knob and is fully adjustable from low to high. The cable handle weighs less than one-tenth of an ounce and can be detached or attached as needed for convenient carrying or hanging the lantern. The lantern also comes with a textile pouch cleverly reinforced on the inside with a plastic cylinder. The lantern’s total weight – including handle and pouch – is 4.3 ounces, still much less than competitive models. All this and it’s economical to operate, too. The F1 Lite Lantern will run up to 9 hours on high or 16 hours on low on a standard 7.75-ounce butane/propane fuel canister, such as Coleman’s model #3250 resealable, threaded canister. Pack weight of a full #3250 canister, which contains 7.75 ounces of fuel, is 13.25 ounces. The Coleman Exponent F1 Lite Lantern carries a limited lifetime warranty.RelateItems
